Sinopse

[em]quadros é uma tentativa do coletivo Os Crias de investigar enquadramentos que organizam o mundo moderno e naturalizam a violência racial. A partir da pergunta de Denise Ferreira da Silva — por que as mortes de jovens negros não causam uma crise ética? — a cena se constrói como campo de experimentação, onde o corpo atua como lugar de pensamento e fricção política. Quadros independentes se articulam pela recomposição de referências e pela dissolução das fronteiras entre palco e plateia.

Synopsis

[em]quadros is an attempt by the collective Os Crias to investigate the frames that organize the modern world and naturalize racial violence. Starting from a question posed by Denise Ferreira da Silva—why do the deaths of young Black people not cause an ethical crisis?—the scene is constructed as a field of experimentation, where the body acts as a site of thought and political friction. Independent frames are articulated through the recomposition of references and the dissolution of boundaries between stage and audience.

O processo acontece a partir da pergunta feita pela filósofa e artista Denise Ferreira da Silva.
“Por que as mortes de jovens negros não causam uma crise ética?”

[em]quadros não se propõe a responder essa pergunta, mas se propõe a pensar sobre a complexidade que ela carrega.
Nesse processo que começou há dois anos atrás, os quatro performers, Alia Martins, Mollis, Victor Rossetto e Victor Salomão, se propõem a pensar na prática do desenquadramento como um gesto cênico e ético.
O processo recebe direção de Tarina Quelho e tem abertura em março de 2026, no Farofa.

Transcripton: [em]frames is an attempt by Coletivos Os Crias to investigate the frameworks that organize the modern world and sustain the naturalization of racial violence.
The process unfolds from a question posed by the philosopher and artist Denise Ferreira da Silva:
“Why don’t the deaths of young Black people cause an ethical crisis?”

[em]frames does not intend to answer this question, but rather to think through the complexity it carries.
In this process, which began two years ago, the four performers — Alia Martins, Mollis, Victor Rossetto, and Victor Salomão — propose to explore the practice of unframing as both a scenic and an ethical gesture.
The work is directed by Tarina Quelho and will have its process opening in March 2026 at Farofa.

Tarina Quelho é artista da cena, educadora somática e professora de Body-Mind Centering (EUA, Alemanha e França). Formada em Artes Cênicas pela Unicamp, atuou no Estúdio Nova Dança. Atualmente, foca na direção e dramaturgia, destacando-se pela obra "Isto é um negro?", apresentada em festivais como FIT, MIT e palcos na Bélgica, Alemanha e Escócia. Sua prática une a perspectiva somática à criação artística, explorando os limites entre (auto)ficção, realidade e relações de coautoria.

Short biography

Tarina Quelho is a performing artist, somatic educator, and Body-Mind Centering® teacher (USA, Germany, and France). She holds a degree in Performing Arts from Unicamp and worked at Estúdio Nova Dança. She currently focuses on directing and dramaturgy, standing out for the work Isto é um negro?, presented at festivals such as FIT and MIT and on stages in Belgium, Germany, and Scotland. Her practice brings together a somatic perspective and artistic creation, exploring the boundaries between (auto)fiction, reality, and co-authorship relationships.
